Searra is an avid champion of inclusive design methodology, with over 14 years of experience in the Scottish games industry. She has worked in her capacity as a UX/UI designer on over 20 titles across mobile, console and PC from education titles to AAA development.
A firm believer in building supportive working environments, she has spent the past 3 years working with the leadership team to help build accessibility and inclusive design into the ethos of the studio.
In April of 2022, she had the opportunity to pitch for the InGame Inclusive and Accessible Design Accelerator. Successfully securing a place for her team on the 8-week program, which has been instrumental in driving positive change towards building accessibility into the studio development pipeline. The effort resulted in their first original title Pine Hearts, which launched in May of last year, releasing with 10 accessibility settings included.
